Hey Support Family!

On June 30th, we officially moved out of our house in Ludington. It was a big moment closing the door on one chapter and stepping into a season of transition. We’re grateful for all the memories made in that space. What a blessing it was for that season.
We are excited for what’s ahead.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been able to spend meaningful time with people we love through visiting friends and family in both Ludington and Grand Rapids, sharing meals, and saying lots of “see you laters.” It’s been a sweet,
emotional stretch filled with gratitude.
We’re now on the east side of the state, staying with Josh’s parents while we finish preparing. Our bags have been packed and repacked more than once, trying to make sure we have what we need (and nothing we don’t).
Rachel’s First Half Marathon

Right after the move, I ran my first half marathon race (13.1 miles)!
The race took place in Traverse City during the Cherry Festival, and it was a beautiful (and hot!) way to close our northern Michigan chapter.
In the middle of all the packing and planning, training for this race became an anchor; a steady rhythm in a season that felt like a whirlwind.
It was a reminder that even in the chaos, God uses discipline and consistency to grow us. Through my dedication to training, it reminded me to keep our eyes on the finish line and trusting God to carry us through.
A Full Circle Moment

We had the privilege of sharing at the church Rachel grew up in a couple Sundays ago.
So thankful for FHBC and the way they are coming alongside us in this season. It means so much to have the support of a place that’s been a big part of Rachel’s story
and still is for her family.
Language School & Our Future Home

We are officially enrolled in Spanish language school for the month of September. This will allow for a focused time to grow in language and culture before we dive into ministry. We’re excited (and a little nervous!) to begin.
Both of us are also grateful to have the possibility of housing lined up: a simple apartment right above the offices of ProMETA. It’s the perfect location for the work ahead, and just one more way we’ve seen God’s provision in the details.
Prayer Requests
Wisdom and focus through our last week in the U.S.
Trusting that God will continue to provide.
Safe travels for our move on August 5th
Thank you again for being part of this journey. We’re excited to see the pieces come together. God is a good and faithful God.
With love and gratitude,
Joshua & Rachel Swift
